This part of the series talks about the past life of Millie. Millie, the Housemaid. Her boyfriend from the previous series, Enzo, had gone back to Sicily to look after his ailing mother. Millie had moved on and was in a good relationship with Brock, a lawyer who wanted to settle down and have a stable life. But, Millie has never felt the deep urge to settle down as she would have felt with Enzo. Millie has now found a housekeeping job at Wendy and Douglas Garrick's palatial home. She gets interviewed by Douglas and is informed that his wife has not been keeping too well. So she was largely guest-room bound. Rule was not to disturb her, just do the designated chores and leave the building.  Despite being employed for over a month, Millie has not met Wendy. But every now and then she has heard odd noises - sobs, something crashing, something breaking. Millie's curiosity got the best of her and she was compelled find out what was wrong. Wendy refuses any help assuring that she ...

Jodie always wanted to be a good homemaker. Not just good, but exemplary.  A whirlwind romance leads Jodie to be married to renowned psychologist Dr Roy Davies.  Being Mrs Roy Davies is not an easy task. Especially when all his friends know his previous wife, Deborah. Deborah is no more. She killed herself using the rifle Roy keeps in his office. Deborah was a wonderful person. Everyone would vouch for it. Roy is a wonderful husband. Everybody will vouch for this too. Then why would Deborah be forced to kill herself?  Being Mrs Roy Davies is not easy. Roy's friends dont allow Jodie to forget that. At every gathering, the hoity toity wives have to pick up the Deborah story and to be fair, which wife would like that? So obviously, Jodie and Roy's friends are not best of friends. Jodie's presence irks even the housemaid, you can imagine. Now, Jodie comes privy to information that Deborah had been losing her mind in the last few days of her life. Deborah was acting str...

Millie lives in the confines of her car. Her tough life is somewhat rewarded when she gets hired by Nina and Andrew Winchester to be the caretaker of their palatial home and also their daughter, Cecelia. Millie can't believe her luck that she has landed herself such a good job. Most importantly, she would not have to sleep cramped up in her car anymore.  Immaculately dressed and well behaved Nina and Andrew come across as a wonderful couple. Over the next couple of days, Millie comes to realize that something is amiss and not everything that meets the eye is great. Nina is high strung and diabolical. She is sweet on some days and horrible the very next minute. Millie seethes but holds on to her job as she finds Andrew a little more understanding. A twist in the story changes the entire plot. Sometimes, I was pushed to agree and thought it served the characters right...but as the story progressed, I was frustrated how the characters were so blind sometimes to not catch the re...

It is a easy, summery kind of day when the characters of this story are introduced living their lives. They all are going on about their day when they, individually, unknown to each other, have some errand at the local post office. But what seemed like a normal thing to do, turns into a full fledged hostage situation. They have been locked inside the post office by a man who has lost his mind. A family dispute has taken this ugly turn and what could have been resolved over conversation, has gone haywire. In that hostage situation, when everything has come to a standstill, the women who are stuck inside, strike a friendship. It is a friendship that understands sadness and disdain. One that understands disappointment. And one that makes up for it all with love and patience. The story then unfurls slowly - each one telling the others their story and how they came to be in the post office on that unfortunate morning. And in that sharing they forge a bond of understanding and camarade...

Darcy and her fiancĂ© Alex have moved from the hustle bustle of London to a more peaceful life in Cornwall.  Darcy's would be mother-in-law suggests that she join an antenatal class to keep herself occupied. She should go about her life, she suggested, rather than constantly being behind Alex to give her company. It was good to have your own set of friends.  Reluctantly, Darcy looks up for antenatal classes and finds one close by, which she convinces Alex about.  It sounds all harmless, good and supportive to be part of these classes where every member has the same set of problems or learning. Darcy meets a whole bunch of women in the class and soon forges a good friendship with each of them. The husbands bond too, which is quite good. Each of these women came from affluent families, often making Darcy feel a little low about her financial status. Keeping that aside, she gels well with everyone.  Do you see how I am dragging this one point? You must wonder why ...

A lot of things are happening in Liv's and Kate's life, unknown to each other.  But, one day, Kate has come to meet Liv. Kate has a feeling that her husband Daniel was having an affair with Liv.
