The Tenant by Freida McFadden

Tenant - Such a non-threatening word. A tenant is someone you share your space or your home with. And you have expectations that they will respect your personal space as much as you will respect theirs. You also hope to god that they are somehow well behaved, polished and do not cause you any trauma.  Unfortunately, the tenant in this Freida McFadden's story is anything but.  Blake Porter has the best job in the industry. His stars are really shining down upon him. He has an amazing home and a loving girl friend - fiancee, Krista. Who would not feel good about it? But, luck is a mean thing. He did not know what it meant to have loved ones wait for you. He was all that you imagine of a hero - drop dead gorgeous, patient, kind and duty driven. Ryan  encourages Chaos and his sister to exchange letters - who does not like to read mail when you are sitting in some bunker awaiting death or enemy? So that starts a beautiful friendship. As time...

What on Earth did I just listen to?! So many times I stopped what I was doing to listen to the plot intently and grasp the details. I huh'd and uff'd till I was cursing under my breath! A best selling author E V Renge, has just passed away. Her daughter, Mackenzie starts to receive anonymous letters. These letters were supposedly from her mother. But, something is not quite right. Pieces of the puzzle are missing. These letters pique Mackenzie's interest and curiousity about her mother and she starts to dig. The letters talk about a bygone past of her mother growing up in foster care, which was a traumatic experience. From there stems a sinister plot that is hard to digest and believe. These letters are giving out some clues which invariably are connected to the titles or plot lines of those best selling books.  Mackenzie ropes in her best friend, EJ and they both, try to get to the bottom of the story.  But, getting to the bottom of the story means, getting dirty and c...
